The Sad-Eyed Seductress by Carter Brown

One look at her and Danny Boyd knew
A blonde with her kind of eyes
Would be murder!!!

Robert McGinnis Cover

Through the half-open bedroom door Danny Boyd glimpsed a gorgeous pair of legs. One neatly clad in sheer nylon and a high heeled shoe, the other naked and barefoot. He walked in and saw the blonde lying on the bed. She was everything the first tantalizing view had promised. Sultry. Seductive. Scintillating. And they were alone...together. Only one thing was wrong. Now he knew the reason for her one bare leg. Someone had wrapped the missing nylon tight around her pretty throat......

Operation Flashpoint by Dan J Marlowe

Operation Flashpoint

Drake
He wasn't a good man
He wasn't a bad man
But his name was Earl Drake
And that was the difference

As a bank robber and safe cracker, Drake felt a bit out of place playing undercover agent for Uncle Sam. But he had no choice. One of the top brass in U.S. Intelligence had his number. So they made a deal, his silence for Drake's services in tracking down a gang of Mid-East terrorists. Besides, Drake had a personal in the job. They stole $75,000 from him. Drake started with a Turkish delight, Talia, He conned her into leading him from the bedroom to the inner most sanctum. He wished he didn't. One look at the cold bulbous eyes in the mound of flesh seated on the sofa before him told Drake he had stepped in the path of a rattlesnake. And if he couldn't charm it, Drake was a dead man.

Bella Donna Was Poison (Revised) by Carter Brown

Rock Stone set the scene for a TV murder play,
but his beautiful corpse turned out to be real

Inspector Rock Stone is the hero of a weekly TV show where he puts the cuffs on the murderer in the last 30 seconds, and that is guaranteed by the sponsor. Then some slob has to make with an unsponsored murder right in the middle of the display window plugging the show. And the real inspector, who does not like the TV, puts Rock Stone in a neat frame where a hole in the head will complete the picture. There were lots of beautiful dolls mixed up in it. There was Hannah Vogue, the vague vagrant, for example. And frankly, she was no example. There was Arline, Rock's very own producer. who was female and one could see that when you get near to her, near sighted or not. Stone would have loved them all, if he had the time. Did he mention Messenger John, the guy with a message which was usually wrapped in hot lead or cold steel?

West of Jerusalem by Gerard de Villiers

Malko
International Secret Agent Extraordinary

West of Jerusalem

Malko Linge
A very unusual name. A very unusual man, in many ways. A man of royal blood, an aristocrat, if you like, from Austria. Handsome, too, as numerous women will eagerly admit. But quite capable of violence, as few remaining enemies will testify. So what does this dashing new hero do?

He is one of the CIA's most daring and effective special agents. Not a regular employee, mind you, but most assuredly a well-paid specialist. Malko gets the impossible missions, the dirty jobs, the secret operations that demand the coolness of a million-dollar caper, the finality of a commando hit.
In this first adventure we meet Malko as he learns that a top CIA official has leaped to his death from a Washington building. Why? The only clue is a grisly one, a little girl's finger. He has seven days to get the answers.

Crime Fiction Alphabet: Letter Z

This week we end our journey through the Crime Fiction Alphabet. Letter Z is the end. Kerrie over at Mysteries In Paradise was kind enough to keep us moving right along in the right direction. For the Letter Z will no doubt be the one that for many of us cause the most problems.

Crime Fiction Alphabet: Letter Z is for.......Zelda by Carter Brown

Robert McGinnis Cover
As a sophisticated sex star she's a legend
As a sweet blackmailing schemer she's lethal!

She was Hollywood's goddess of love:
Provocative
Passionate
Excitingly alive
Five Men wanted her......dead.

The seductive star's sweet blackmailing scheme looked like being shot to pieces by one of her three ex-husbands. Till murder took a hand in her game. And Rick Holman, Hollywood's Mr. Fix-it, was elected to dispose of the corpse. Or take the killer's rap for Zelda.

To 10 million men Zelda Roxane was the supreme symbol of sophisticated sex. But to the general who masterminded a Latin American revolution, the ex-Nazi turned millionaire industrialist, the has-been producer about to pull the biggest deal of his life, the lecherous press agent whose advances she's scorned, Zelda meant disgrace...ruin...and death.
