Hot Seat For A Honey by Carter Brown

Cover by David Franklin
The zany millionaire who had hired Simeon Shoeman had his penthouse guarded as though it held more gold than Fort Knox. Well maybe Dolly and Mamie were very bit as valuable. And who'd want to share them with anyone, anyway. But Mr Shoeman's client didn't live long enough to enjoy their company, and he could not collect his fifty thousand dollars until he found out who'd put a knife in his throat. Sure, Dolly and Mamie told him all  they know, and it would have filled a book. Only Simeon was not writing one. He had a murder on his hands and someone had him lined up as a victim too........

  1. Interesting how a brunette is featured on one of these covers and a blonde is on the other, Scott.
