The Cobra Kill by Manning Lee Stokes

The Cobra Kill
by Manning Lee Stokes

The high price of dying on an ultra lethal assignment

For openers, it cost Nick $10,000 just to find out that his quarry, once the most powerful communist in Indonesia, was hidden in the Malayan jungle. Then there was the added expense of physical energy bedding the nymphomaniacal daughter of Malaysia's top intelligence minister. Just to find out that her information was not nearly enough. Plus the loss of a lot of valuable sleep wondering whether his sultry guide was interested in him for sex or simply to lure him on for the kill. And the closer Nick came to completing the assignment, the surer he was that the ultimate balance would have to be paid with his life.

It took the lure of the wild, bizarre manhunt to get Nick Carter out of Hong Kong and into Malaysia. It took an exotic nymphomaniac to give Nick the information he needed to start his murder mission alive. It took a the savage native seductress to lead Nick through the Malaysian jungle to find his quarry, Lim Yang, the famous Red Cobra. And it took Nick no time to realize he was deep in hot action, deadly coincidences, and enough double crosses to plunge him straight into a death trap.

The Red Rays by Manning Lee Stokes

The Red Rays
by Manning Lee Stokes

Somewhere in the world a powerful transmitter was broadcasting a savory blend of Communist propaganda and pornography.

It was impossible, but it happened. The headlines in the world's press told the facts:

Massive Blackout of World TV,
All Channels Interdicted
by Red Propaganda,
President Urges Calm

George Gross Cover

So AXE got the job of wiping out the transmitter and the man to do it was Nick Carter. The trouble was that Nick had not counted on running into a Hollywood love goddess out for extra special kicks, or a beautiful blonde revolutionary out for his blood. And they were the least of the cards stacked against him. The assignment started out in a Hollywood costume party near Malibu Beach and all Nick had to do is pick up some information from a blond in a Peter Pan costume. For openers, the assignment seemed simple until Malibu turned into never-never land with the help of a Red nerve gas. Nick then finds himself lying to a half naked girl. Though bound and drugged, he recognized he was being framed as a rapist for his own execution.

Assignment: Israel by Manning Lee Stokes

Assignment: Israel
by Manning Lee Stokes

A Deranged Nazi Killer Out to Destroy the Mideast

He was known as "The Butcher" and he was a former Hitler henchman who was responsible for more murders than any other man alive. Depraved in mind and body, he hungered for men and women with the same insatiable appetite. He was hunted as a war criminal by the Israelis and he lusted for the chance to massacre his enemies.

A captured Communist document gave the United States the whole story. But finding "The Butcher" and stopping him were something else. Plastic surgery made the first half of the problem impossible while the Arabs' hatred of the Jews choked off the second half.

The United States was banking on Nick Carter and it supplied him with the most tantalizing helper, a beautiful Israeli agent named Sabra. Sabra had the body of a goddess and the heart of an efficient killing machine. For "The Butcher" a Middle-East holocaust would be a personal victory, but the rest of the world it held a greater meaning. For the Chinese had already started the world towards WW III.

The Filthy Five by Manning Lee Stokes

The Filthy Five
by Manning Lee Stokes

Killmaster uncovers a plot to assassinate the President of the United States
A life worth a billion dollars in Chinese gold!

American intelligence had intercepted the message. The Red Chinese were paying one billion dollars to have the US President killed. The money was used to create a super weapon out of five convicted murderers. But the US could not act without proof. This was a mission for only one person, Nick Carter, Killmaster. The nation waited in horror as Nick battled the insurmountable odds. Tortured and a young lady was killed as to avert failure. The assassination plot had to be stopped at all costs, the clock was running out fast.

Four people stood in the way
Dona Lanzos: She was filled with hate for the men who killed her lover. She was more than wiling to use her body as a weapon or revenge.

Harry Crabtree: He hated mankind. He was a sadistic hired killer who got a sickening, terrible kick out of his job.

Malcolm Drake: He could not stop hating his crippled and useless body. Having life and death power over others help to ease the pain. He would torture, betray, and murder for power.

Ramon Ramirez: He was a skilled expert at his work. His work was killing, and Nick was to be his victim.

A Savage Beauty Holds The Key To World Survival

A Time For Death
  • The owner of a notorious London sex club is found butchered, his body hacked to pieces....
  • Portugal's top agent is gunned down in broad daylight, on a crowded street...…
  • A two-bit P.I. from Brooklyn is knifed in the heart, after meddling unwittingly in international espionage....
George Gross Cover

All they had in common was the Princess da Gama, the breathtakingly uniquely depraved creature, Nick Carter's partner in Macao. The Princess was a wild tormented beauty hunter on three continents. The Portuguese wanted to force her into living death. The Red Chinese wanted to turn her into a sex puppet, a helpless pawn in Chicom espionage. The U.S. desperately needed her help. She knew the man whose maniacal whim could start an international holocaust.

The Golden Serpent by Manning Lee Stokes

The Golden Serpent
by Manning Lee Stokes

A master plot to flood the U.S. economy with millions of counterfeit money

Armed with only a suicide pill, Nick Carter slips south of the border on a mission to stop the ruin of America's economy by a clever diabolical Chinese plot.

Take a Mexican political party that demands the territorial return of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.

Add a Chinese paper factory exporting a fine engraver's five dollar portrait of Abe Lincoln.

Stir with a countess who's made a fortune in cosmetics and is running a strange little kingdom deep in the Mexican jungle.

Mix in the CIA and AXE, prickling each other's sensitivities while the nation and the highest men in government are stumped to stop the ruin of the American economy.

Suddenly the meeting between the CIA and Mr Hawk, the ingredients are mixed together into a little pill handed to Nick Carter. The instructions were very clear, straighten things out or swallow the deadly pill.

Dragon Flame by Manning Lee Stokes

Dragon Flame
by Manning Lee Stokes

The Fine Art of General Smuggling
The situation was grave. The Chinese had the border sealed up so tight that a fly could not slip through. On the Hong Kong side the vicious group, Tiger Tong, waited and ready to kill anyone who attempted the Generals rescue. The General was badly wounded and was holed up in a temple not a mile from a thousand Chinese troops. Only a fool would try to cross the border and rescue the General. But the fool was none other than Nick Carter of AXE.

The Eyes Of The Tiger
by Manning Lee Stokes

The little room, buried deep in the living rock of the old Schloss, reeked of evil and pain. Rader and his men did not wear black hoods and masks, but the effect was the same, they were torturers...

The young baroness' feet were already anchored to the rack. She was screaming in terror. The curse of the golden statue with the ruby eyes was about to claim another victim.

Nick Carter is given the task of recovering some Nazi loot. This loot is from a Japanese temple that was presented to Adolph Hitler as a token of Axis partnership. As the story goes, the loot lay in a a Swiss bank account protected by a kill on sight order by two hand picked elite SS guards.
