We are chugging, like a really fast moving train, along in the Crime Fiction Alphabet for 2013 meme.
This week we are half way through with the Letter N. Kerry's Blog
is kind enough to sponsor this community meme each and every week. The rules are very
simple: The posts must be related to either the first letter of a
book's
title, the first letter of an author's first name, or the first
letter of the author's surname, or even maybe a crime fiction
"topic". But above all, it has to be crime fiction. This time
around I will be featuring a Carter Brown title for each letter of the
alphabet.
Carter Brown: N is for None But the Lethal Heart

Mavis Seidlitz gets stuck with a corpse that's too hot to handle
Grant Roberts Cover |
Mavis is keeping company with a corpse and she's got to get rid of him
fast. She tries to bury him, lose him, and even gives him away. But he
persists in haunting her. The cops are on her heels and a gang of hoods is
breathing down her neck. And someone seems determined to wrap her up in a
slinky shroud. But here is the sizzling scorcher: A red-hot tale of
murder and mayhem, chills and spills, and the daffiest detective work
this side of a dizzy blonde bombshell, named Mavis Seidlitz.

Wow, lots of different covers, and I like all of them. Except maybe the Russian one where the lady is caught in a net. Some really cool covers there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for comment and the visit
ReplyDeleteScott - Gotta love those pulp-y covers. But I think I like the Japanese one best. And the Signet one looks almost Nancy Drew-ish. Or maybe that's must me.
ReplyDeleteI never realized how much could tell a lot about a country from the cover.
