No Future Fair Lady (Revised) by Carter Brown

She's a fun loving doll but her blind date is murder

Jerry Chase looked her up and down, slowly, thoroughly.

"Chase by name..."
"Your slip is showing," he said.
"I didn't know a slip could show in so many places," she replied tartly.

Jerry's second slip was to join the staff of SMEAR magazine. His assignment was to prove that eggheads don't make the best lovers. So he took a trip to Happy Honeymoons Incorporated. Jerry knew there was something fishy about the place as soon as he met his first date. She was dead! His second female acquaintance was that way, too!So Jerry had the cops breathing down his neck and the murderer hot on his heels. Maybe one would think the gorgeous dames would compensate for that, but try telling that to his boss Xavier. He didn't mind what Jerry did until he discovered the blackmail racket. Then he didn't even worry when Jerry was locked in a closed car, unconscious, with carbon monoxide streaming into his lungs.

  1. Interesting that the Finnish version looks so much like the one right about it.
